The significance and potential of this orienteering-racing spot have been recognised by the Pas-de-Calais Department as part of its approach to the controlled development of nature sports.

Thanks to the many fun variations of the courses and the vast playground offered by the park, everyone will enjoy themselves looking for the various beacons scattered throughout the park. Young and old, beginners or experienced orienteers will all find a course adapted to their desires.

Typical landscapes of the former Nord-Pas-de-Calais mining basin, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its mining rail tracks, slag heaps and subsidence ponds have become playgrounds for outdoor sports and recreation.
