The Epinoy Woods Sensitive Natural Area is a beating heart of exceptional nature in the urban and agricultural matrix of the former mining basin. It is home to an important biodiversity which benefits from the wealth of natural environments: old oak-hornbeam grove, slag heap, ponds, reed beds, lakes and wet meadows. From the various observatories, visitors can admire this nature, as well as the traces of the site's rich historical past (construction of the slag heap by cable car).

Discover the 2 trails open to the public: the 4.3 km slag heap trail (AR) and the 2 km wood and marsh trail

Open: all year round
