Public Service Points (PSP): keep an eye out !
Emergency services must be alerted quickly during sporting events, but also on a daily basis in outdoor areas, sites and itineraries.
The Pas-de-Calais Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS) has developed an innovative system to optimise rescue operations in the natural environment: the Public Rescue Points.
These plates with a geo-referenced code allow the person in distress to be quickly geo-located by the SDIS 62 call centre. The emergency services can thus adapt the intervention system (vehicle, access, etc.) according to the situation.
The Audomarois marshland was the first natural site to be equipped with this 100% "made in Pas-de-Calais" invention. There are now 600 PSPs spread throughout the area.
The SDIS continues to deploy PSPs in the department every year. Some of the practice sites listed on ESCAPADE 62 are already equipped with PSPs, such as the Olhain departmental park and the Marcel Cabiddu nature and leisure park.
