Located on the former Drocourt coking plant, the Les Îles Park itself symbolises the resilience of the former Nord-Pas-de-Calais mining basin, to the benefit of recreational activities. This former industrial wasteland of the coal-mining country has become a vast green lung, ideal for outdoor sports activities.

Playful orienteering courses adapted to all levels await you at the Les Îles Park, and much, much more! Set off on the cycle path and the various hiking trails, or even try out the roller-skating track. Here, you can try your hand at kite flying, paragliding, biathlon, Nordic walking, health routes, nature walks, petanque, roller skating and more.

A family walk packed with surprises, thanks to the many play areas (slides, swings and huts) – some rather unusual – scattered throughout the site.

Primarily conceived as a place for environmental teaching, the park's activities are managed by the Aquaterra organisation. This allows young and old alike to familiarise themselves with environmental issues, learn more about biodiversity and, most importantly, interpret the unusual world of landscapes offered on each island.

A vast green space has taken the place of the industrial wasteland that was the former Drocourt coking plant. Special mention must be made of the themed islands, each representing a different climate.
