Description

This itinerary, steeped in history, invites you to pay tribute to the 11,000 Canadian soldiers who died during the capture of Vimy Ridge in April 1917. You walk through the Vimy National Forest where you can see the remains of the trenches and the land dented by the shells. The Canadian Vimy Memorial also offers you a breathtaking view of the landscape of the coalfield and the Artois hills.
